Reflection
1) The organs I was able to pull out and identify were the heart, SI, LI, stomach, trachea, esophagus, liver, and lung.
2) The SI was brownish red and it was longer than I thought. Also there was green liquid inside the SI. The heart was smaller than I thought. When we cut it up I identified the 4 chambers.
3) I enjoyed the dissection activity. The smell was unpleasant but I handled it and was able to finish. But it was better than I thought it would be.

1. REWRITE THE STANDARD IN YOUR OWN WORDS. HOW DOES THE ASSIGNMENT RELATE TO THE STANDARD?
The standard for this assignment was 7.LS.5B. The standard 7.LS.5B was to learn that organ systems function because of each individual organ, tissues, and cells. This dissection relates to the standard because I found out that if food goes through the mouth it is all connected with the digestive organs. This shows that this assignment relates to the standard.
2. WHAT STEPS DID YOU TAKE TO COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENT?
Since there was a lot of people we didn't have enough parts of the pig for everyone to dissect. Luckily, I got to dissect the stomach of the fetal pig. After I observed and felt each of the organs from the stomach. On the next day we observed each organ and cut the organ to see the inside. These are the steps I took to complete this assignment.

This assignment demonstrates many different strengths. First, this assignment demonstrates that I could work as a group. It also shows that I can identify the basic organs. This assignment also demonstrates that I could dissect organs to use as learning. This assignment also shows that I could make observations.
4. I COULD HAVE IMPROVED MY WORK ON THIS ASSIGNMENT BY...
First, I could have made better observations. I also could have been more careful with materials (scalpel). I also could have shared photos with many other people. I also could have been more careful handling an organ. These are the ways I could have improved on.
5. HOW WILL YOU APPLY THE SKILLS YOU LEARNED FROM THIS ASSIGNMENT IN THE REAL WORLD, AS AN ADULT OR IN OTHER CLASSES WHILE YOU ARE STILL A STUDENT?
I could apply this skill in many different ways. First I could apply the skill of observation and following guidelines in other classes. I could also apply the use of the scalpel if I became an surgeon. I also could apply the skill of cutting and dissecting in high school. These are ways I could apply this assignment to the real world.
