Reflection
1. Pick at least one standard from each of the categories above and rewrite it in your own words. Justify how your blog (including all posts) meets these standards, using evidence from the standard itself to demonstrate your mastery and/or understanding.
There are many different standards for this assignment but I will be reflecting on 3 of the many standards. The first standard is ISTE 4a which was to be able to search for and understand genuine/real problems and important questions for investigation. The second standard is CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.WHST.6-8.2 which was to write essays that inform people on scientific procedures/experiments, or technical processes. The last standard is ELD C10 and this standard was to be able to write a fictional piece and also a informational piece. The standard ISTE 4a was to understand the given question for investigation , this relates to the assignment because for blog post #6 I had understood the question for media codes and I searched for the type of code this specific brand uses. The standard CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.WHST.6-8.2 relates to the assignment because in my 12th blog post I wrote to explain the procedures and technical processes Wael Ghonim took to Liberate the Internet. The standard ELD C10 relates to many blog posts including 5 and 10 because I wrote a fictional writing piece to my self in the future and to a alien.
2. What content and skills have you learned through writing in your blog? Describe any growth or improvement in your writing ability and/or your attitude about personal writing.
I have gained and learned many contents and skills through writing in my blog. One way I have learned from writing my blog is that I learned how to make my writing more fun or sometimes very sad by focusing on the tone and mood. It made me think more creatively and helped us write informatively for example when we had to write about an inventor for the national inventors day. This also helped me better express my opinion through writing because most of the blog posts asked me "what do you think about something". Some skills I have improved on is punctuation and the correct use of grammar. I always try to double check what I wrote in the blog post I have done before I publish it. This also helped me type with a better accuracy because I took more time typing it and thinking more about the question rather than just answering "Yes or No" to a question.
3. In the future, how could you use this blog as a platform to create a positive digital footprint for yourself?
I could use this blog as a platform to create a positive digital footprint for myself in many different ways. One way I could use this blog as a platform is that I could start improving to make my digital footprint to be more positive since I could always think back and look at my blog and see what to improve and etc. Another way is that I could write my diary or keep record of the things I did by publishing my blog post. If I publish it online I would never lose it because everything on the web stays there. I could also use the blog to connect with other people around the world and I could share my blog URL to my friends so they could check my status. These are some ways I could use a blog as a platform to create a positive digital footprint for myself.
